Depack Design, resolutely digital at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference


Depack Design, a subsidiary of the FG Design Group serving the luxury sector, once again accompanies its clients to the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, which takes place in Cannes from October 1 to 6.

A benchmark event for the duty-free trade sector, the show hosted 491 stands for 515 exhibiting companies in 2017. 12 visitors are expected for the 000th edition of the show. The operation is major for Depack Design since the agency has designed 70 stands. 40 people mobilized to set up these ephemeral spaces over a period of 600 days. Among the clients, big names in the luxury sector, such as Calvin Klein, and a new collaboration for the agency with the company Shiseido, a big name in the beauty sector.

The TFWA show inaugurates its "digital village", a space entirely dedicated to innovations combining luxury and digital retail. For 3 days, this 840m² space welcomes 30 exhibitors who come to offer innovative solutions in order to present products to travelers in transit through airports.

Depack Design is one of the exhibitors of the “Digital village”. The agency presents its stOrm capsule, an immersive space that allows products to be showcased. By scanning their boarding pass, the visitor informs the capsule about these preferences. The service developed by Depack Design is then able to make personalized suggestions. The stOrm capsule allows the visitor to discover a product in great detail, thanks to virtual reality content or 360 videos. Eventually, it should integrate a payment system which will allow the possibility of buying the product directly in the capsule and then benefit from a delivery service.

Another solution put forward during the TFWA, the experiential bar. Depack Design has installed two connected bars reserved for show participants, inside Cannes airport. Thanks to their badges, exhibitors and visitors are welcomed with a drink. They can also participate in a collaborative digital creation visible on a screen integrated into the experiential bar. With these novelties, the Depack Design agency will certainly be a major player in the duty-free trade sector of tomorrow!
