The wacky Neo-Baroque:
A cabinets of curiosities inspiration reinvents the codes of neo-collectors: amalgamation of objects, from vanities to ethnic objects in profusion, intertwined sophisticated colors ranging from duck blue always, to deep ochres to intense purples, animal and floral motifs saturated with colors and shapes, furniture with classic codes revisited by a clash of contradictory materials. Like resin and anodized metal, here are our interiors jostled by an intense, deep and syrupy wind.
The “Wired Zen” trend:
On the other hand, as if to counterbalance this infinite profusion, the Japanese “wired Zen” trend interferes everywhere and is available in all tones: cells from caning to metal, taut lines, dry fabrics, transparent or tie and die glasses, mirrors, translucent crockery, everything is lightness: fragile and delicate like a soap bubble that slips away through our interiors.
Then between the two, like a dash between these two opposite worlds, the natural trend resists fashion effects and this year takes on the colors of a Mediterranean land: ocher, terra-cota, fir green, rose sands, khaki glass invade the walls, fabrics and furniture to create cozy and powdery cocoons. Thus the vintage trend is dressed in colors that perfectly suit its original lines.
